Dr. Blackstone has 30 years of semiconductor technology experience ranging fromresearch scientist to founder and CEO of a publicly traded company. Hegraduated with honors from Cornell University with a BS/MS and from KUL/IMEC,in Leuven Belgium, with a PhD, both in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Blackstonehas spent his career in semiconductor processing, device physics and design ofelectronics, sensors and MEMS devices. He has published over 50 papers and holdsover 10 patents in the fields of CMOS, (complementary metal oxide semiconductor),Bipolar, Wafer Bonding, SOS (silicon on sapphire), ELO (epitaxial lateral overgrowth)and GaAs (gallium arsenide). His technical achievements include developingthe first commercial electronic device using wafer bonding technology, the firstintegrated optical MEMS technology and the first publication of the growth ofGaAs on silicon. Dr. Blackstone has been a principle contributor in the fieldof SOI, particularly in the field of wafer bonding technology. He foundedand was CEO of BCO technologies (www.bco-technologies.com),the first company to commercialize wafer bonding technology. As CEO, Scotttook the company public and then several years later negotiated the sale of thecompany to Analog Devices (www.analog.com). Dr.Blackstone transferred to Analog Devices in Cambridge, MA, to organize and leadan Optical MEMS effort. Dr. Blackstone co-founded Great Bay Ventures where heserves as a managing partner. Dr. Blackstone received the British VentureCapitalist, Entrepreneur of the Year award in 1998. He is a senior member ofthe IEEE, a member of Eta Kappa Nu and the Electrochemical Society. |

Mr. Walsh has extensive experience in the investment fields, ranging from theprivate client group to the corporate services. He holds a dual BA from ClaremontMcKenna College in Mathematics and Economics, specializing in Quantitative Modelingand Analysis. Prior to co-founding Great Bay Ventures, Mr. Walsh spenthis career at boutique investment banks with a focus on emerging markets. Hebegan his career at Alex Brown & Sons (ultimately acquired by Deutsche Bank)where he was part of the private client group. Mr. Walsh subsequently joinedH. C. Wainwright & Co, where he was instrumental in the formation of a corporateservices group. His responsibilities included all aspects of hedging from competitivepricing to monetizing and executing trades. Mr. Walsh has financed emergingtechnology companies, built an institutional client list, and maintained a privateclient base that included many high technology corporate executives. In2001, he moved to Fechtor Detwiler to focus specifically on the semiconductors,semiconductor capital equipment and telecommunications industries. | ||

Russ Johnsen is a leader in the field of communications having started the wireless divisions of both Analog Devices and National Semiconductor. For the last two years Russ has been the Vice President of Corporate Business Development for Analog Devices focusing on strategic acquisitions. Russ joined Analog Devices in 1993 as the Vice President and General Manager of the Semiconductor Division. A year later he founded the Communications Division to focus ADI on this emerging high growth area. Under his direction Analog Devices became a leader in systems, software and integrated circuit solutions for Wireless Communications and Broadband access technologies.
Prior to joining Analog Devices, Russ started and was the General Manager of the Wide Area Networks Division of National Semiconductor. He was also responsible for managing National’s 32-bit embedded microprocessor business. His international experience includes the management of a factory in Malaysia and the successful start-up of an equipment manufacturing company in Manila, Philippines. Russ Johnsen holds a degree in mechanical engineering from MIT. He is currently on the board of Mercury Computers. | ||

Frank Porter joined the Boston law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart in 1965. He was made a partner in 1973 and was a long serving member of the Firm’s management committee. He retired in 2001 but remains with Choate Hall & Stewart as Of Counsel.
While at Choate, Hall & Stewart, Frank built a successful practice in the area of business law specializing in corporate finance and representing investment bankers, institutional investors and businesses. Frank has extensive experience representing clients in connection with financing activities. These transactions involved, among other things, public and private financings, senior and subordinated debt and equity securities (including preferred stock of various sorts). He has also been active in the area of intellectual property, an area of personal interest. Mr. Porter graduated from Yale in 1959 and Harvard Law School in 1965. Between Yale and Harvard, Frank served in the United States Marine Corp where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant. He is a member and former Trustee of the American College of Investment Counsel. Mr. Porter has been involved with a number of community services and was the President of the Boston Athletic Association, the organization which presents the Boston Marathon. Frank has run 20 consecutive Boston Marathons and is an active member of the Cambridge Boat Club. He is also a contributor of op-ed pieces to “The Boston Globe” and “The Boston Herald”. | ||

Frank Weigold brings a wealth of experience in the management of emerging growth companies and turn arounds. He has worked at the highest level with companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations.
Frank is currently the Vice President and General Manager of the Micromachined Products Division of Analog Devices, Inc., a position he has held since 1999. He is responsible for the management of two business units and four manufacturing site, including one in Europe and one in the far east. Mr. Weigold joined Analog Devices in 1992 as the Vice President and General Manager of the Transportation and Industrial Products Division. Prior to joining Analog Devices, Frank was President and General Manager of Unitrode Corporation, a provider of electronic components and subsystems. Before Unitrode, Frank worked in various Hambrecht & Quest controlled companies, from 1977 to 1987, including Vice President of New Product Development for Rexon Business Machines; President of Silicon General Inc and Vice President and General Manager of American Standard Inc. Prior to that Frank held various positions, including General Manager with TRW, Inc. from 1966. He started his career at Westinghouse where he held positions in applications engineering and marketing. Frank has a B.S.E.E. from Michigan Technological University and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. |
